In the first quarter of 2024, the top five navigation and maps applications on the iOS platform in Ghana exhibited interesting trends in weekly downloads and active users. Here’s a detailed look at their performance:

Google Maps maintained a steady download rate throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads peaked at around 6K in early January and saw a slight dip towards mid-March, dropping to approximately 4.1K before recovering to 4.9K in the last week of March. Active users fluctuated slightly, starting at around 140K and reaching a peak of approximately 150K in early February before stabilizing at around 136K by the end of March.

GhanaPostGPS experienced variable download numbers, starting the quarter with 948 downloads and peaking at 1.3K in early February. The app saw a slight decrease towards the end of the quarter, finishing with around 1K downloads in the last week of March. Active user numbers remained relatively stable, starting at approximately 15.8K and ending the quarter at around 15.3K.

Google Earth had a consistent download trend, with weekly downloads ranging from 243 to 345 throughout the quarter. The highest number of downloads was recorded in the first week of February.
